Over the years, teachers and students of Mao Khe I Secondary School ( Mao Khe Ward , Dong Trieu Town ) have consistently excelled in studying and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh , with Ms. Pham Thi Phu , Party Secretary and Principal of the school, being a prime example.
Teacher Pham Thi Phu shared: "Following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings, I always put the collective interest first. Along with that, I arrange and organize my work and that of other staff and teachers scientifically , according to each person's abilities and qualifications, ensuring that the initiative, creativity, and responsibility of each individual are maximized."
With 17 years of experience in the education sector, teacher Pham Thi Phu has independently studied and honed her skills in teaching and school management, effectively leading the development and implementation of the school's educational plan based on the development of students' competencies.
In particular, in the context of significant changes in education, to adapt to the new era, Ms. Phu directed the professional staff to focus on innovating teaching methods and assessment, effectively guiding the application of information technology, maintaining and utilizing teaching equipment well, and maximizing the effectiveness of smart classrooms. She also strengthened training for the staff, teachers, and employees.
In implementing the 2018 General Education Program and replacing textbooks, Ms. Phu directed the professional staff to fully utilize teaching equipment and make use of existing equipment and materials to ensure that teaching tasks were carried out according to the program's requirements.
Pioneering and exemplary in launching emulation movements and contributing to improving the overall quality of education, Ms. Phu directed and encouraged all staff, teachers, and employees of the school to research topics applicable to their professional fields. Ms. Phu directly researched and developed innovative initiatives and solutions, most notably "Measures to educate life skills for students through creative experiential activities to meet the requirements of educational reform in the current period at Mao Khe I Secondary School". This initiative attracted 90% of the school's students to enthusiastically participate, helping them grasp basic life skills such as boldness, confidence, agility, and dexterity; creating a healthy competitive atmosphere throughout the school.
The study of President Ho Chi Minh's teachings is implemented among all cadres, teachers, and staff in the school through political activities , thematic studies , and the implementation of the "Revolutionary Moral Standards for Cadres and Party Members in the New Era." The dissemination and promotion of exemplary models are linked to special emulation movements leading up to the 60th anniversary of the province's establishment and other emulation movements and campaigns, creating widespread influence among cadres, teachers, staff, and students through various forms such as flag-raising ceremonies, youth radio broadcasts, meetings, and the school website. As a result, the study of President Ho Chi Minh's teachings has become natural and easily absorbed by all cadres, teachers, staff, and students.
Under the dedicated and passionate leadership of its principal, Mao Khe I Secondary School achieved National Standard Level 2 and Quality Accreditation Level 3 in 2021. Over the years, the overall and advanced quality of education in the school has steadily improved. Results in academic subjects and student excellence at all levels have been maintained and strengthened compared to previous years, with over 70% of students achieving good or excellent grades, 99% having good conduct, and consistently maintaining over 40% of students achieving excellent grades at the school level, with no students classified as having weak academic performance.
