The Ministry of Education and Training has issued guidelines on organizing review sessions for the high school graduation exam in the 2024-2025 academic year to the Departments of Education and Training.

Accordingly, the Ministry requests that provincial Departments of Education and Training direct educational institutions to ensure the completion of the curriculum according to the academic year's timeframe. Students must study all subjects and educational activities correctly and fully, and meet the required learning objectives of the curriculum; any instances of curriculum shortening in any subject must be promptly detected and strictly dealt with.

Departments of education and training, in coordination with local television stations, produce special programs on exam preparation for graduating students and support students' self-study through television.

Schools continue to effectively implement teacher assignments to ensure the prescribed teaching load; prioritizing appropriate assignments for teachers in the final year to maximize their time supporting students in exam preparation; encouraging teachers to utilize software and websites for online review, providing online review materials, tests, and assessments, and managing students' review process.

In addition, schools are increasing individualization in teaching and review activities for students, guiding students on learning methods, self-study, and knowledge retrieval; and enhancing the application of information technology in managing and organizing tests and evaluating students' review results.

Schools also need to review and classify students' proficiency levels (levels achieved) in order to develop plans for class placement and assigning teachers to specific groups for review and enrichment activities.

Exam preparation courses should only be organized for students who need them, avoiding widespread, ineffective, and wasteful review sessions that target the wrong groups.

Schools organize a second self-study session for students to enhance their self-learning abilities based on teacher guidance; they also arrange a reasonable timetable so that trainees who are workers or are studying in two programs can intensify their review for the 2025 High School Graduation Examination.

Educational institutions should familiarize 12th-grade students with the exam format and organization methods announced by the Ministry of Education and Training; organize study sessions for administrators, teachers, and 12th-grade students on the Regulations for the High School Graduation Examination to ensure quality and effectiveness, thereby helping administrators, teachers, and students participate in the exam seriously and safely.

Organizing mock exams at the school and provincial levels (if any) should be appropriate to the actual conditions of the school and locality, based on the voluntary registration of students, ensuring economy, efficiency, and compliance with regulations.

This year's high school graduation exam is the first year students are taking the exam under the new 2018 general education curriculum.
