On July 24, at the 2nd session of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council held at the Binh Duong Provincial Exhibition Convention Center (old), Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee was elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong was born in 1979 in An Giang province, in a revolutionary family, has a Master's degree in economics, a bachelor's degree in accounting and auditing, and a senior degree in politics . He grew up from union and association activities at Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and through many positions at the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union.
Thus, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee currently has Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee; the Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee is Mr. Nguyen Van Tho.
The Vice Chairmen include: Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha; Mr. Bui Xuan Cuong; Mr. Nguyen Van Dung; Mr. Bui Minh Thanh; Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy and Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong.
