OpenAI launches ChatGPT o1 along with a new, expensive Pro package.

According to TechRadar , OpenAI has officially announced its ChatGPT o1 AI model and the ChatGPT Pro service package, priced at $200 per month. ChatGPT o1 is promoted as an improved version of GPT-4o, focusing on reasoning and logic. According to OpenAI, this model can solve 83% of the problems in the International Mathematical Olympiad, compared to only 13% for GPT-4o. Based on internal testing, ChatGPT o1 also reduces major errors by 34% and increases response speed by up to 50%. In addition, the model adds image processing capabilities, allowing for object analysis, handwriting reading, and the creation of visual guides from user-uploaded images.

However, not everyone has access to the full capabilities of ChatGPT o1. Free users and those with the ChatGPT Plus plan ($20/month) have limited access to this model. To use all features, users need to subscribe to the ChatGPT Pro plan at $200/month, ten times the price of the Plus plan.
