Oppo Find X9 Ultra may have a 200 MP camera

Although the Oppo X8 Ultra was just launched last month, receiving special attention for its impressive camera system, the Digital Chat Station account on Weibo has informed about the telephoto camera modules of the Find X9 Ultra. Accordingly, this device will have a 200MP periscope telephoto lens, replacing the 50MP unit on the X8 Ultra.

Digital Chat Station revealed the Oppo X9 Ultra configuration on Weibo.

According to the leaked information source, the remaining 50MP telephoto lens may keep the same resolution but the lens will upgrade the zoom range from 6x to 10x.

If this year's Find X8 Pro also has a telephoto setup similar to the Ultra model, a completely different design in the Find X9 Pro with a single periscope camera, said to be a 200MP module.

There are also rumors that Oppo will expand the Find X9 series to include four models: Find X9, X9 Plus, X9 Pro, and X9 Ultra. With this product line, the company does not hide its ambition to compete with the iPhone 17, 17 Plus, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max.

Oppo launched many versions of the "Find X" line, showing its ambition to compete with phones from Apple.

All four models are expected to feature flat displays, with the Find X9 being the compact version with a screen size of around 6.3 inches; along with the Plus and Pro models, it is expected to be powered by the Dimensity 9500 SoC. The Find X9 Ultra is likely to opt for the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip.

It's too early to get a full picture of the Find X9 series, the Ultra model probably won't launch until 2025, while the rest of the models are expected to launch in October or November this year, after MediaTek announces the Dimensity 9500.
