On March 7th, a video appeared on social media showing a group of tourists setting up a tent right on the edge of a cliff to admire the Nho Que River. Inside the tent, about three people were sitting, with a barbecue table set up in front, like an outdoor party. Notably, the tent was set up outside the guardrail of National Highway 4C, right next to a deep ravine, making it extremely dangerous.

According to the video, the tent was quite large and erected right at the edge of the road, posing not only a potential accident risk but also obstructing the view of many people. Some tourists and passersby expressed their frustration and recorded videos to remind the group to remove it, but they not only refused to take it down but also used inappropriate language.
The video also shows that the area below the cliff, next to the tents, is littered with trash, mainly plastic bags and household items left behind by tourists, negatively impacting the scenic landscape of the tourist spot.
On the morning of March 8th, in an interview with a reporter , Mr. Hoang Van Hung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Meo Vac commune, said that he was aware of the incident and that the People's Committee was investigating and would provide further information later.

Ma Pi Leng Pass, also known as Ma Pi Leng or Ma Pi Leng (meaning "horse's nose"), is considered the king of mountain passes in the Northwest region. It is a treacherous mountain pass approximately 20km long, located in Meo Vac and Dong Van communes.
Ma Pi Leng Peak is located at an altitude of 1,200m. From the summit of Ma Pi Leng, visitors can admire the panoramic view of the Dong Van karst plateau.
