BHG - Implementing the policy of merging commune-level administrative units, in recent times, the Party Committees of communes and towns in Xin Man district have always upheld a high sense of responsibility and played a central role in leading, directing, guiding, and supervising the implementation. As a result, the merger process has proceeded on schedule and ensured quality according to plan.
From the very beginning of the implementation, the Party Committee of Coc Re commune organized thematic meetings to disseminate guiding documents from the Central Government, the province, and the district. Based on that, an action plan was developed to suit the local situation, clearly assigning responsibilities to each member of the Standing Committee, the Executive Committee, and officials in charge of the villages and hamlets.
Comrade Lu Van Thanh, Secretary of the Party Committee of Coc Re Commune, said: The Party Committee determined that the merger was not only a political task but also an opportunity to innovate, improve the quality of management, and serve the people. The Party Committee proactively developed a plan, established a Steering Committee, and a working group went directly to each village to dialogue and promptly answer questions related to the name, administrative boundaries, organizational structure, and rights after the merger. Emphasis was placed on propaganda and mobilization of the people. As a result, the majority of people agreed and actively supported the merger process.

According to the plan, Coc Re commune, Trung Thinh commune, and Thu Ta commune will be merged into a new administrative unit. Before the merger, Coc Re commune had a population and area that did not meet the standards, and its infrastructure and people's lives faced many difficulties. Recognizing the urgency and political significance, the Party Committee of Coc Re commune identified the merger as a key task, requiring the coordinated involvement of the entire political system and high consensus from the people. Currently, the work of organizing, organizing, and digitizing records in Coc Re commune is being carried out urgently. Mr. Vang Van Phu, an official from the Office of the People's Council and People's Committee of Coc Re commune, shared: "The volume of records is very large, especially documents from before 2020, which are mainly in paper form. We are classifying and digitizing records to ensure complete and accurate storage, striving to complete it as soon as possible."
In Coc Pai town, preparations for the merger are also being carried out urgently. The Secretary of the Party Committee of Coc Pai town, Lo Van Son, said: “The Party Committee has directed the Town People's Committee to coordinate with relevant departments, organizations, and specialized agencies of the district to conduct an inventory of assets and prepare for the handover. At the same time, we are strengthening propaganda efforts and understanding the concerns of officials, Party members, and the people; thereby creating unity in understanding and action.” In recent days, the town's working group has been working intensely, even at night, to ensure the review and updating of administrative records and documents, the population data system, land, and public assets... According to the plan, Coc Pai town will merge with Nan Ma, Ban Ngo, and Pa Vay Su communes to form the new Pa Vay Su commune.
The goal of merging commune-level administrative units is to optimize the state management apparatus, improve operational efficiency, and utilize resources rationally. The leading role of the Party Committee is a key factor determining the success and long-term effectiveness of the administrative unit reorganization process. In the coming period, the Party Committees of communes and towns in Xín Mần district will continue to improve the quality of grassroots Party organizations, direct effective propaganda work, and ensure that the merger is implemented in accordance with the directives of the Central and Provincial authorities.
