On the morning of January 19th, in Ky Anh town, the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province, in coordination with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society and the People's Committee of Ky Anh town, organized the "Compassionate Tet" program for the Year of the Dragon 2024. Attending the program on behalf of the Central leadership were: Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office Vu Minh Tuan; Vice Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Xuan Hung; and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Red Cross Society Nguyen Hai Anh. Representing the provincial leadership were: Mr. Hoang Trung Dung - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; Mr. Tran Nhat Tan - Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Colonel Nguyen Hong Phong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Provincial Police; Mr. Tran Dinh Gia - Deputy Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; Mr. Tran Van Ky - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; and Mr. Le Ngoc Chau - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. |
In his opening remarks, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau affirmed: In recent times, the Party committees and authorities at all levels in Ha Tinh have always paid attention to and cared for social welfare work.
The "Compassionate Tet" program for the Year of the Dragon, held in Ky Anh town, is one of many activities undertaken by the local Party committee and government of the province to care for disadvantaged and vulnerable people during Tet.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau delivered the opening remarks for the program.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed gratitude for the attention and participation of the Central leaders, delegates, and the joint efforts and contributions of all levels, sectors, agencies, organizations, businesses, and philanthropists who have accompanied the program and the province's social welfare work in the past. Through this, humanitarian values continue to be multiplied and spread in community life.
Speaking at the program, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Senior General Tran Quang Phuong - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized: In 2023, despite many difficulties, the Party Committee, government and people of Ha Tinh have made many efforts, upholding the tradition of unity, focusing on leadership and competing to complete the set political targets and tasks.

General Tran Quang Phuong expressed his delight and highly appreciated the achievements of the province and Ky Anh town in general, and the social welfare activities in particular. He noted that the Party committees, governments at all levels, and political and social organizations in Ha Tinh have shown concern, care, and support for policy beneficiaries, the poor, and those facing difficult circumstances. He also expressed his hope that the "Compassionate Tet" program would continue to be maintained and implemented effectively.
On the eve of the new spring, Venerable Tran Quang Phuong wished the people of Ha Tinh a warm and joyful new spring; expressing confidence that the Party Committee, government, and people of Ha Tinh will always be united, successfully implement the cause of reform, and contribute to the rapid and sustainable development of the whole country.

Central and provincial leaders also came to share in the joy and visit the "zero-cost" Tet market stalls organized as part of the program.
On this occasion, 300 poor and near-poor households, households with members affected by Agent Orange, and households affected by natural disasters in Ky Anh town received free shopping vouchers (each worth 500,000 VND) at the "Zero-Cost Market" stalls.
Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Trung Dung, and other leaders encouraged and highly appreciated the activities at the charitable Tet market.
Earlier, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong and the delegation visited and offered incense at the Martyrs' Cemetery in Ky Anh district - the resting place of more than 800 martyrs.
Before the spirits of the heroes and martyrs, the delegation expressed their gratitude, respect, and appreciation to the generations of ancestors who bravely sacrificed themselves for the independence and freedom of the nation, and pledged to worthily continue the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.
