On the afternoon of April 19, the provincial working delegation led by Mr. Hoang Van Thach, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, inspected the progress and construction situation of the entire Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway in Trang Dinh district, Lang Son province and the two districts of Thach An and Quang Hoa, Cao Bang province. Also accompanying were leaders of a number of relevant departments, branches, sectors and localities.

The working group inspected the field progress of many major construction sites along the entire expressway stretching from Chi Minh and Chi Lang communes, Trang Dinh district, Lang Son province to Tuc Nga hamlet, Na Tuc hamlet, Duc Xuan commune through Dong Khe town, Tan Viet hamlet, Le Lai commune, Thach An district to Na Da hamlet, Hoa Thuan town and other construction sites in Quang Hoa district, Cao Bang province.

According to the technical design documents, the project has a total land area of ​​about 825.9 hectares to be recovered. To date, 784.75 hectares have been handed over, reaching 95.02%. Of which, the site clearance work in Cao Bang province has reached 96.53%, and in Lang Son province has reached 93.8%. The construction of resettlement areas and relocation of technical infrastructure for 110kV and 35kV power lines have been actively implemented. For the 0.4kV line, the locations that affect the construction have been temporarily relocated to ensure construction progress. The project enterprise has deployed 71 construction sites, including 29 road construction sites, 40 bridge construction sites and 2 tunnel construction sites with 1,016 machines and equipment, nearly 2,000 engineers and production workers along the entire route. Total output of implemented packages to date has reached over 2,400 billion VND, reaching 23.96% of contract value.

Through the inspection, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Van Thach acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts, endeavors, and positive results in the site clearance work to serve the simultaneous construction on the entire route. Emphasizing that the weather is very favorable, supporting the project, he requested the contractors to focus, add more equipment, human resources, materials, organize construction in "3 shifts" on all sections of the route, the area that has been handed over the site, speed up the construction progress of the project's critical sections, especially the intersections, Bang Giang River overpass, Cao Bang province, Ky Cung River overpass, Lang Son province, the roadbed sections must be dug deep, raised, ensuring labor safety, environmental protection, and construction aesthetics. At the same time, there will be plans and measures to organize the construction in case of unfavorable weather conditions, not to be passive in any situation at the construction site, striving to open the technical route by the end of this year, extending the North - South expressway from Cao Bang to Ca Mau according to the direction of the Prime Minister.
