On the afternoon of March 12, the government delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long continued its inspection of the Chi Thanh - Van Phong expressway (through Phu Yen) and the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway (through Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak ).

Overcoming difficulties related to weather and materials, contractors mobilized 44 construction teams, with nearly 1,700 officials, engineers, and workers, and 768 pieces of equipment, meeting the approved construction schedule. Cumulative output to date is 5,654 billion VND, reaching nearly 70% of the construction contract; capital disbursement to date has reached nearly 66%.

"To overcome the difficulties in loading and treating weak soil foundations, the investor has directed contractors to maximize the use of machinery and equipment, increase shifts and work schedules to speed up the excavation of overburden, blast rock, and increase the capacity of soil extraction for road embankment."

"During favorable weather conditions, contractors have increased their earthworks excavation capacity from 13,000 m3/day to 18,000 m3/day," the leader of Project Management Board 7 said.

Representatives of the investor of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway project also stated that, for Component Project 1 (DATP1), in order to complete the first 20km of the route in 2025 as directed by the Prime Minister, the People's Committee of Ninh Hoa town (Khanh Hoa) needs to promptly resolve obstacles and hand over the entire land area.

Regarding DATP2, the investor expressed the desire for the leaders of Dak Lak province to pay attention and direct the early completion of the approval of the adjusted land use plan at the district level, and the conversion of the additional forest land use purpose.

The People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province continues to direct relevant agencies and localities to accelerate the progress of tasks related to the recovery of forest assets, and to promptly hand over the additional land area of ​​nearly 2 hectares to the contractor for the implementation of Project 2.

Regarding DATP3, the investor requests the Department of Agriculture and Environment to advise and report to the People's Committee of Dak Lak province to soon approve additional locations for dumping excess materials (approximately 0.4 million m3 for packages XL02 and XL03), ensuring the project's completion on schedule.

The Chi Thanh - Van Phong component project, passing through Phu Yen province, has a total length of over 48km (through the districts, towns and cities of Tuy An, Tuy Hoa City, Phu Hoa district, Tay Hoa district and Dong Hoa town).

The route starts at the Chi Thanh intersection (located in Chi Thanh town, Tuy An district), connecting to the Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh expressway. The route ends at the intersection with National Highway 1 (located in Hoa Xuan Nam commune, Dong Hoa town), connecting to the northern access road to the Deo Ca tunnel and the Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway.

The starting point is at the intersection of National Highway 26B and National Highway 1 (in Ninh Hoa town, Khanh Hoa province). The end point is on the Ho Chi Minh Highway, eastern bypass of Buon Ma Thuot (in Krong Pak district, Dak Lak province).

The project is divided into 3 sub-projects, with the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee as the managing agency for Sub-project 1 (31.5km long); the Ministry of Construction as the managing agency for Sub-project 2 (nearly 38km long); and the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee as the managing agency for Sub-project 3 (over 48km long). The project starts from the intersection of National Highway 26B and National Highway 1, in the Nam Van Phong port area (Ninh Hoa).

The investment scale for the road is 4 lanes, with a design speed of 100 km/h.
