(NLDO) – During his working visit to Binh Dinh province, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung attended the inauguration ceremony of two projects worth nearly 1,800 billion VND, completed ahead of schedule.
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Binh Dinh province (March 31, 1975 - March 31, 2025), on the afternoon of March 27, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province held a ceremony to inaugurate two projects: the road connecting National Highway (NH) 19 to the Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park, linking to Quy Nhon port, and the Dinh River flood drainage system in Quy Nhon city.
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung, along with leaders of Binh Dinh province, cut the ribbon to inaugurate the road project connecting National Highway 19 to Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park and Quy Nhon Port.
Immediately after landing at Phu Cat Airport during his working visit to Binh Dinh, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung attended the inauguration ceremony of these two projects.
The project for the road connecting National Highway 19 to the Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park has a total length of 19.445 km, a roadbed width of 12 m, and an asphalt concrete surface width of 11 m, with 2 lanes for motorized vehicles and 2 lanes for non-motorized vehicles.
The project, with a total investment of over 1.17 trillion VND, commenced construction in August 2023 and was completed after 19 months, 5 months ahead of schedule. The opening of the road shortens the distance from National Highway 19 to the center of the Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park from 31.5 km to 16.5 km.
The road connecting National Highway 19 to the Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park and Quy Nhon Port was opened to traffic after the inauguration ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung requested Binh Dinh province to continue effectively utilizing the route, promote investment attraction into the Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park, and focus on developing industries and logistics services to maximize the advantages of connectivity with Quy Nhon Port and the Central Highlands provinces.
Meanwhile, the Dinh River Flood Drainage System project, located in Nhon Binh and Nhon Phu wards, Quy Nhon City, with a total investment of 602 billion VND, commenced construction in March 2022 and was completed and put into use in December 2024, 7 months ahead of schedule.

The project starts at Phu Xuan Dam - the confluence of the Ha Thanh River and ends at Quy Nhon 1 spillway. The main components include widening and dredging the riverbed along a 3.1 km stretch, increasing its width from 40-130 m; widening the Cho Dinh bridge on National Highway 19 from 24 m to 45 m; constructing a road with a 14 m wide roadbed and a length of 6.06 km; and installing a 6.4 km lighting system along both sides of the Dinh River.
