Cam Ranh Social Policy Bank transaction office disburses the first loan for STEM students

On the afternoon of September 24, the Cam Ranh Bank for Social Policies (BSP) Transaction Office disbursed the first loan under Decision No. 29/2025 of the Prime Minister on lending to students, graduate students and postgraduates in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

The beneficiary is Huynh Gia Huy - a first-year student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education, a near-poor household in Son Long residential group, Ba Ngoi ward. According to the approved application, Huynh Gia Huy was able to borrow 344 million VND for the entire 4-year course with a preferential interest rate of 4.8%/year. This is a practical loan, contributing to reducing the financial burden, helping Huy to study with peace of mind, nurturing his dream of becoming an engineer in the future.

According to the leader of the Cam Ranh Social Policy Bank Transaction Office, the disbursement of the first loan of the program in Cam Ranh opens up opportunities to access knowledge for students in difficult circumstances; at the same time, affirms the role of the Social Policy Bank in accompanying the locality in realizing the goal of developing high-quality human resources.
