Việt NamViệt Nam31/10/2024

According to forecasts, between November 1st and 4th, the northern provinces, including Phu Tho province, will experience the first cold spell of the 2024-2025 winter season.

Phu Tho prepares for the first cold spell of winter.

A cold front is approaching the northern provinces.

Currently, a cold air mass is forming in the Siberian region. By November 1st, this cold air mass will move down to Vietnam first. However, this is a weak cold air mass with distinctly dry and low humidity characteristics, so it will only cause cold nights in the North, with warm and sunny days.

Between November 1st and 4th, the cold air mass continuously intensified. This is a relatively strong cold spell compared to this time of year. By November 4th, this cold air mass will further intensify and move into our country with considerable force.

From November 1st, the lowest nighttime temperatures in Phu Tho province will drop to 18.0-21.0 degrees Celsius, with cold nights. Days will be sunny and dry. From November 4th, due to the influence of a cold front combined with an easterly wind disturbance, showers and scattered thunderstorms are expected in most areas of Phu Tho province. Northeast winds will gradually strengthen to levels 3 and 4. Temperatures will decrease both day and night.

During this cold spell, the lowest temperatures are forecast to be between 16.0-19.0 degrees Celsius. In the high mountainous areas of the west (including Thanh Thuy, Thanh Son, Yen Lap, and Tan Son districts), temperatures will be between 13-16 degrees Celsius, with some places below 12 degrees Celsius. In the midland and lowland areas, temperatures will be between 15-17 degrees Celsius, with some places below 14 degrees Celsius.
