On August 22, the Party Committee, government and people of Phu Thuong ward organized a celebration of the 80th anniversary of Uncle Ho's return to live and work in the locality. Placing signs at the memorial site of the revolutionary resistance events Ben Do Xu and Dinh Phu Xa.

80 years ago, on August 23, 1945, President Ho Chi Minh and his comrades from the Central Committee returned to Hanoi from the Viet Bac resistance base via Xu ferry, Dinh Phu Xa.

Uncle Ho and the delegation rested at the Van Chi house of Phu Xa communal house, where the village militia set up its headquarters, and had dinner prepared by the militia brothers.

That evening, Uncle Ho and the delegation returned to Phu Gia village (now Phu Thuong ward, Hanoi) and stayed at the house of Mrs. Nguyen Thi An, a revolutionary base of the Central Party. Uncle Ho stayed and worked here from the afternoon of August 23, until the afternoon of August 25, 1945, when he got in a car and entered Hanoi city.

The ceremony of installing a plaque at the memorial site of the revolutionary resistance event at Xu ferry and Phu Xa communal house is an honor, at the same time, to preserve and promote the value of the relic. This is a place for sightseeing, studying, and educating young generations to understand more about the revolutionary spirit, solidarity and love for the homeland of the Phu Thuong people.

*On the same day, Phu Thuong ward organized the installation of a signboard for the restoration and embellishment of the historical relic of the memorial site where President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked at the house of Nguyen Thi An.

The Nguyen Thi An house relic is the first place President Ho Chi Minh stopped on his way from the Viet Bac resistance base back to Hanoi to meet the nation and read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam on September 2, 1945.

At the house of Nguyen Thi An, Uncle Ho worked with comrades Truong Chinh, Vo Nguyen Giap, and Tran Dang Ninh on the results of the General Uprising in the whole country, preparing for the National Day. After that, the family and the locality were honored to welcome Uncle Ho back to visit in 1946. In 1957, the people of Phu Thuong received Uncle Ho's attention and thoughtful guidance, and those teachings were recorded and passed down from generation to generation for them to strive to follow.

The house of Nguyen Thi An has been ranked as a national monument by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

After nearly 100 years of use, despite being renovated and embellished four times, many parts of Nguyen Thi An's house have been damaged and degraded.

On April 15, 2022, the project to restore and embellish the Nguyen Thi An house relic was approved for investment, including the following items: Restoration of the gate, President Ho Chi Minh memorial house, kitchen and toilet area, renovation and embellishment of the yard, fence, electricity supply, lighting, termite prevention, etc.

The project started in February 2025. After more than 5 months of construction, the project was completed on schedule, ensuring technical and aesthetic standards.

The project was marked with a sign welcoming the success of the 1st Congress of Phu Thuong Ward Party Committee; commemorating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and National Day, commemorating the 80th anniversary of Uncle Ho's return to live and work in Phu Thuong.
