On the afternoon of August 22, Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism solemnly held the 80th Anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025).
Attending the ceremony were representatives of leaders of departments, agencies and many generations of cadres, civil servants and public employees of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

At the ceremony, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Tran Thi My Hanh presented a commemorative speech, reviewing the 80-year journey of construction and development. "Immediately after the August Revolution in 1945, the Propaganda Committee was established, laying the foundation for the cultural career in the heroic Soviet homeland.
Over eight decades, Nghe An's cultural sector has continuously grown, making important contributions to the province's socio -economic development.
Entering a new phase, the industry is determined to continue to innovate thinking, take people as the center, link heritage conservation with development, promote digital transformation and develop cultural industries.
Performance at the ceremony
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Phu Hien emphasized that culture, sports and tourism have become bright spots in the overall development picture of the province, from heritage conservation, building grassroots cultural movements, sports achievements to the prosperity of the tourism industry.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that the Nghe An Department of Culture continue to innovate its thinking, shifting from "doing culture" to "managing culture"; focusing on restoring and promoting the value of historical and cultural relics; developing cultural industry and digital culture; at the same time upgrading the system of cultural institutions, expanding international cooperation and promoting the image of Nghe An to the world.

On this occasion, 62 individuals were awarded the Medal for the Cause of Culture, Sports and Tourism; the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives and 10 individuals with outstanding achievements and rewarded 5 more collectives and 5 individuals with many contributions to the National Lotus Village Festival in 2025.
Earlier, on the same morning, at Ho Chi Minh Square, Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a ceremony to offer flowers and incense to report to Uncle Ho.
Awarding Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee to individuals with outstanding achievements in performing their duties on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Cultural Sector's tradition day.
In a solemn atmosphere, the collective leadership and staff of the industry respectfully commemorated the contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, who laid the foundation for the cause of building an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity.
Over the past 80 years, the Vietnamese cultural sector in general and Nghe An in particular have accompanied the nation's revolutionary cause, contributing to preserving identity, building grassroots cultural life, improving sports achievements and affirming the local tourism brand.
This is a solid foundation for the entire industry to continue promoting tradition, creativity, and building Nghe An to develop more and more, worthy of the trust and expectations of the Party and the People.
