(Dong Nai) - On December 19th, information from the Department of Construction of Dong Nai province indicated that the Department had just issued Document No. 6721/SoXD-QLVTPT&NL (dated December 18th, 2025) on strengthening traffic safety and order and serving passenger transportation during the New Year and Lunar New Year (Year of the Horse) 2026. Accordingly, it requested relevant agencies, units, businesses, and localities in the province to effectively carry out the assigned tasks.

Specifically, transportation businesses and cooperatives need to proactively repair and maintain their vehicles to ensure they meet technical standards, quality, and lifespan requirements as stipulated by law, effectively meeting the transportation needs of the people. They should review transportation business conditions, especially regulations on driver and vehicle management, and promptly address any shortcomings to ensure that drivers are qualified and ethical. They must comply with speed limits and driving times, not exceed vehicle load limits, not use alcohol or drugs while driving, not set up illegal bus stops, and not operate disguised fixed routes, pick up passengers, or engage in passenger resale or shared rides.

Businesses and cooperatives operating bus terminals must educate their staff to strictly comply with regulations on transportation management at bus terminals and stations, and to fulfill their assigned duties and responsibilities. They must organize and implement procedures to ensure traffic safety as prescribed. Emphasis should be placed on strengthening inspections of drivers' and vehicle qualifications to ensure compliance with legal regulations. Violations of regulations regarding vehicle conditions before departure must be resolutely dealt with.
