Pogba returns, Monaco suffer heavy defeat.

Midfielder Paul Pogba came on in the final minutes of Monaco's 1-4 defeat to Rennes in the 13th round of Ligue 1 on the morning of November 23rd.

The former Manchester United and Juventus star was brought on in the 85th minute and received enthusiastic applause from the crowd at Roazhon Park. This was Pogba's first match since his career was interrupted by a suspension.

In fact, the moment Pogba came on, the game was already decided. Monaco were trailing Rennes by four goals and were also playing with ten men after midfielder Denis Zakaria was sent off in the 66th minute.

Rennes took the lead thanks to goals from Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal, Mahdi Camara, Breel Embolo, and Ludovic Blas. Monaco only managed a consolation goal from Mika Biereth after Pogba came on as a substitute.

During his limited playing time, Pogba put in a strong effort. He achieved a 93% pass accuracy rate and touched the ball 17 times, but he didn't complete any successful dribbles or take any shots.

After the match, Pogba expressed his disappointment with the result: "I'm happy to be playing football again, but I'm a Monaco player and I hate losing."

The defeat against Rennes was Monaco's third consecutive loss in Ligue 1, leaving them stuck in eighth place in the standings.
