In a recent appearance on Rio Ferdinand's talk show, Pogba frankly admitted that he didn't know who Souness was during his time playing for Manchester United.
"I didn't know who he was. I only heard later that he was a legend," the French midfielder shared.
This statement quickly sparked controversy, especially since Souness had repeatedly publicly criticized Pogba on television during his time at Manchester United. According to Ferdinand, Pogba was the most talked-about player at the time, regardless of whether he performed well or not.
