Golden Globes 2026:

The new regulations bring about many groundbreaking changes aimed at discovering, honoring, connecting, and fostering young talents in the digital age. This revision is intended to promptly meet the requirements of implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, and to concretize Decision No. 21/2026/QĐ-TTg of the Prime Minister on the list of strategic technologies and technology products.

Through this, the Party and State's policy is realized, making the Award a channel for discovering, honoring, connecting, and promoting young Vietnamese talents in national strategic technology fields, contributing to the development of talented human resources in science and technology for the country in the new era.

Instead of focusing solely on academic achievement, the new regulations are more grounded in practical realities, emphasizing values such as mastering technology, promoting innovation, commercializing products, and creating a positive impact on socio-economic development.

The most notable new feature is the adjustment of the selection criteria to 10 national strategic technology groups, including: Digital technology; next-generation mobile network technology, cybersecurity and quantum technology; robotics and automation technology; biomedical, pharmaceutical and applied biology technology; advanced energy and materials technology; semiconductor chip technology; environmental and sustainable development technology; marine, ocean and subsurface technology; aerospace technology; high-speed rail and urban rail technology.

Eligible participants for the award are Vietnamese citizens under 35 years of age, currently studying, researching, or working both domestically and abroad. The regulations specifically encourage individuals who are both scientists and hold key leadership roles in science and technology organizations and enterprises, or who are pioneers in innovative startups creating high-tech products.

In addition to outstanding achievements, the 2026 award places strict requirements on scientific integrity, adherence to research ethics, academic honesty, and intellectual property protection. Notably, recipients of the award are responsible for committing to supporting students and young research groups for a minimum of three years to disseminate knowledge.

Alongside the revised criteria, the entire process, from registration and application submission to processing, will be conducted online this year to ensure transparency and openness. Each year, no more than 10 individuals will be awarded the prize, based on the objective assessment of the judging panel.

Outstanding individuals receiving the award will be presented with a Certificate of Merit from the Central Committee of the Youth Union, a Certificate from the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Central Committee of the Youth Union, an award emblem, and a cash prize. At the same time, these young talents will be registered in the National Young Talent Database System and given priority in being introduced to participate in forums, exchange programs, and collaborative networking opportunities both domestically and internationally.
