U Minh launches the 'digital wave' movement.

On May 30th, the People's Committee of U Minh commune (Ca Mau province) organized a launching ceremony to respond to the "U Minh Digital Wave" movement, aiming to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo.

The movement aims to help people access and effectively use digital technology in learning, work, production, business, and accessing online public services.

During this campaign, the local authorities mobilized social resources to provide 31 smartphones to poor households, near-poor households, and union members and association members in difficult circumstances.

In addition, U Minh commune has implemented many practical models such as "Old Phones - New Value", "Zero-Cost SIM Cards - Instant Network", "Digital Literacy for the People", and "One Youth Union Member Accompanying One Household" to popularize digital skills and support people in gradually familiarizing themselves with and applying digital technology to their daily lives.

Mr. Huynh Khanh Duy, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of U Minh commune, emphasized that digital transformation is no longer the sole responsibility of state agencies or businesses, but has become an essential requirement in all areas of social life.

With the theme "U Minh Digital Wave" and the message "Digital transformation from the heart - Leaving no one behind," the locality hopes to spread the spirit of digital transformation to every citizen, every household, and every business community in the area.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, the organizing committee received support from partner organizations and presented smartphones to poor households, near-poor households, and union and association members in difficult circumstances.

These activities contribute to helping people access digital technology, improve their digital skills, and gradually participate in the process of building a digital government, digital economy , and digital society at the local level.
