Introducing a wireless fire alarm device utilizing AI technology.

On the afternoon of May 29th, the Hanoi City Police held a ceremony to launch and introduce the wireless fire alarm system developed by Thang 8 One-Member Limited Liability Company.

According to the Hanoi City Police, from 2021 to the end of the first quarter of 2026, there were 3,831 fires in Hanoi , resulting in 157 deaths, 135 injuries, and property damage exceeding 152 billion VND.

In response to the need to improve the effectiveness of fire prevention and fighting in the context of rapid urbanization, the Hanoi City Police have intensified the application of science and technology and digital transformation in the field of fire prevention, fighting, and rescue.

The wireless fire alarm system was researched and developed based on a national-level approved scientific project from the University of Fire Prevention and Fighting. The product was assigned by the Hanoi City Police Department to the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Division in collaboration with Thang 8 One-Member Limited Liability Company for research and development under the Project on Applying Scientific Research Products to Develop Wireless Fire Alarm Systems in the Capital City.

The system comprises wireless smoke detectors, a central connection device, a centralized web-based management platform, and a mobile application. Upon detecting signs of fire, the system can send instant alerts to the user's phone and also supports locating the signal source on a digital map. Importantly, the software platform integrates artificial intelligence (AI) technology to analyze and filter signals, reduce false alarms, and improve alert accuracy.

The product has been granted Certificate of Inspection for Fire Prevention and Fighting Equipment No. 124/KĐ-PCCC dated April 30, 2026, and Certificate of Conformity for Wireless Transmission Equipment, ensuring full legal compliance for circulation on the market.

Prior to its official launch, the device was installed for testing at a guesthouse in Hoai Duc commune and received positive feedback regarding its stability, connectivity, and early warning effectiveness.

Speaking at the ceremony, leaders of professional units of the Ministry of Public Security and Hanoi city highly appreciated the Hanoi City Police's proactive research and application of science and technology in fire and explosion prevention.

This is considered a practical solution to enhance early warning capabilities, contributing to minimizing damage caused by fires and explosions, and concretizing the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.

Speaking at the conference, Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung, Director of the Hanoi City Police, stated that the wireless fire alarm system is not just a single product but a concrete step in building a digital technology ecosystem to serve fire prevention and rescue work; gradually forming a widespread early fire warning network, connecting data, supporting state management, command and control, and organizing firefighting, rescue, and relief operations. In particular, the successful research and production of the wireless fire alarm system demonstrates the self-reliance, innovation, and technological mastery of the Hanoi Police, producing products that directly serve the requirements of their work, combat, and public service.

In the coming period, the City Police will continue to research and develop products and equipment to serve their work in a modern, intelligent direction, suitable to the practical conditions of Vietnam; contributing to gradually forming a chain of Vietnamese technology products with the long-term goal of building a "Smart Fire Safety City" model, synchronously connecting warning devices in households and establishments with centralized management platforms, intelligent operation centers and fire fighting forces; contributing to building a regular, elite, and modern People's Police force and actively participating in the process of developing the country's independent and modern defense and security industry.
