According to the press release, Foreign Minister Jaishankar will meet with Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov to discuss economic cooperation.
In addition, he will meet with his host counterpart Sergey Lavrov to discuss bilateral, multilateral, and international issues.
The press release emphasized that the India-Russia partnership, tested over time, remains stable and resilient, and continues to be embodied in the spirit of a special and privileged strategic partnership.
In September, Jaishankar stated that while India-Russia relations may not attract much attention, they are "special and stable," and that, in many respects, Moscow's relations with the West have "broken down."
Foreign Minister Jaishankar emphasized that while almost every major relationship over the past 70 years has experienced significant ups and downs, the India-Russia relationship is particularly special and stable.
