The directives and conclusions of General Secretary To Lam that were disseminated and implemented at this Conference include: the thematic content on the new era, the era of national progress; and the conclusions of the Standing Committee meeting of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negative phenomena on October 30, 2024.
This is the first locality in the country to proactively and extensively implement the content of the General Secretary 's lecture.
Mr. Nguyen Thai Hoc, Acting Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, chaired the conference. The conference was held in a hybrid format, combining in-person and online participation, at the Provincial Party Committee Hall and 175 other locations including city and district Party committees, Party committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee, and communes, wards, and towns throughout Lam Dong province, with 6,460 key officials and Party members in attendance.
At the conference, delegates heard Comrade Bui Thang – Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Propaganda Department of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee – explain and implement the key contents of General Secretary To Lam's lecture on the new era, the era of national progress.
In his lecture, General Secretary To Lam clearly stated the message of promoting economic development, building a socialist society, a prosperous people, a strong nation, and a just and civilized society. The General Secretary encouraged the unity and efforts of the entire Party and people in achieving the goals for the future. Specifically, the goal is for Vietnam to become a developing country with modern industry and a high middle income by 2030, with aspirations for self-reliance and progress. And to become a developed socialist country by 2045.
The General Secretary also encouraged the spirit of national self-reliance and self-strength, while affirming the Party's leadership role in the country's renovation and development.
Along with other important topics, in this session, General Secretary To Lam discussed seven strategic orientations to lead the country into a new era, an era of national progress, including: improving the Party's leadership methods; strengthening Party principles in building and perfecting the socialist rule of law state of the people, by the people, and for the people; streamlining the organizational structure for effective and efficient operation; digital transformation; combating waste; and personnel and the economy.
At the conference, delegates heard Comrade Pham Thi Phuc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Council, explain the conclusions and directives of General Secretary To Lam, Head of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negative phenomena, at the Standing Committee meeting on October 30, 2024; and the Regulations on Elections within the Party.
Some delegates expressed their feelings and thoughts about the important and highly meaningful lecture by General Secretary To Lam and suggested that in the coming time, the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee should concretize the content of General Secretary To Lam's directives to implement them in localities in the most effective and clear way.
Concluding the conference, Acting Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thai Hoc emphasized the need to concretize the directives of General Secretary To Lam regarding the new era, affirming the importance of unity and joint efforts from the Party and the people in achieving strategic goals.
The leaders of Lam Dong province were instructed to thoroughly understand these directives and concretize them in local action plans, while creating conditions for each Party organization and Party member to effectively implement the Party's policies. The issue of the new era, the era of national progress, was promptly addressed by the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee (following the General Secretary's presentation at the training course on updating knowledge and skills for cadres slated to become members of the 14th Central Committee of the Party on October 31st); and the crucial question is how Lam Dong implements the content of these directives.
In his lecture, the General Secretary affirmed: An era is a milestone, a period of historical significance; while an era of striving forward represents a breakthrough and upward progress to create transformation in the country's development, and in the well-being and happiness of the people under the leadership of the Party.
In order to achieve its goals by 2030, Lam Dong province plans to implement many specific plans to develop socio-economic conditions, improve people's lives, and modernize infrastructure.
Key aspects include focusing on strategic infrastructure projects such as the Tan Phu – Bao Loc, Bao Loc – Lien Khuong, and Da Lat – Nha Trang expressways to promote socio-economic development. Simultaneously, digital transformation will be encouraged to improve the efficiency of public administration and services. Furthermore, personnel management will be prioritized, ensuring a capable, responsible, and proactive leadership team to meet the demands of development in the new era.
The Acting Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee expressed his wish that the entire Party, army, and people of Lam Dong would unite, strive, overcome difficulties, resolutely innovate, start with the smallest things, accumulate into big things to rise up with the country, and enter a new era, an era of national progress.
