According to reports from the authorities, in 2024, Quang Binh province planted 11,405 hectares of forest, exceeding 27% of the plan; completed planting 2,101 million trees according to the 1 billion trees project, exceeding 13.3% of the plan. The output of exploited forest wood reached 810,946 m³, exceeding 62% of the target; the import and export value of wood products reached 35.4 million USD... With this result, tree planting has brought practical value, not only contributing to beautifying the environmental landscape but also bringing value in economic development, combating environmental pollution and climate change.

Mr. Doan Ngoc Lam, Vice Chairman of Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee shared: The value of afforestation and forest protection, especially natural forests, has helped people in disadvantaged areas and mountainous areas to develop their economies based on forests. Many tourist spots and routes have been effectively exploited, bringing high economic value, so Quang Binh province is determined to increase forest coverage through planting trees to cover bare land, bare hills and in planned areas to help people develop their economies.
