Quang Ninh welcomed 2,500 tourists on the first day of Tet (Lunar New Year).

(NLĐO) - On the first day of the Lunar New Year 2025 (Year of the Snake), Tuan Chau International Passenger Port welcomed more than 2,500 domestic and international tourists .

On the morning of January 29th (the first day of the Lunar New Year, Year of the Snake 2025), the Quang Ninh Provincial Department of Tourism and Ha Long City organized a welcoming ceremony for the first tourist groups of the new year.

On the first day of Tet (January 29th), Tuan Chau International Passenger Port - one of the gateways to Ha Long Bay - welcomed more than 2,500 domestic and international tourists.

Representatives from the Department of Tourism, Ha Long City, and other relevant departments presented flowers, lucky money envelopes, and best wishes to the first tourists to visit the city in the new year.

It is expected that during the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday, Tuan Chau International Passenger Port will welcome approximately 30,000 visitors, more than double the number from the previous year. This is a promising sign for the development of tourism in Quang Ninh in the new year.

Representatives from the Quang Ninh Department of Tourism, Ha Long City, and related units presented flowers and lucky money to the first tourists of the new year.

Hotels in Ha Long City are bustling with activity, welcoming tens of thousands of international tourists who come to visit and experience the area. The number of visitors is expected to continue to increase during the Lunar New Year holiday of the Year of the Snake. Tourists will have the opportunity to visit and explore many famous destinations such as Ha Long Bay, the Quang Ninh Museum, city tours to experience culture and cuisine , and many other impressive places in Ha Long City.

With diverse and attractive Lunar New Year celebrations and effective prior publicity and promotion, the number of visitors to Quang Ninh is expected to increase by 40-60% compared to normal days. On the first day of the new year, Quang Ninh is expected to welcome over 100,000 domestic and international tourists.
