The Government issued Decree No. 22/2024/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 82/2016/ND-CP dated July 1, 2016, regulating the insignia, rank badges, emblems, and uniforms of the Vietnam People's Army, and Decree No. 61/2019/ND-CP dated July 10, 2019, detailing a number of articles and measures for the implementation of the Law on the Vietnam Coast Guard.

Decree No. 22/2024/ND-CP amends regulations on: Ceremonial attire for male officers, professional soldiers, officer cadets, and officer trainees; Ceremonial attire for female officers, professional soldiers, officer cadets, and officer trainees; Ceremonial uniforms for male officers, professional soldiers, officer cadets, and officer trainees of the Vietnam Coast Guard; Ceremonial uniforms for female officers, professional soldiers, officer cadets, and officer trainees of the Vietnam Coast Guard...

Regarding ceremonial attire for male officers, professional soldiers, officer cadets, and officer trainees, Decree No. 22/2024/ND-CP stipulates that the peaked cap has an oval shape; the cap fasteners of generals, rear admirals, vice admirals, and admirals of the Navy are embossed with the national emblem, while those of colonels and lieutenants are embossed with a five-pointed star; in the middle of the front of the cap is a visor for attaching military insignia; there is a cord on the front of the visor, and below the visor are two ears of rice.

Army: Dark olive crown, red brim; Border Guard: Dark olive crown, green brim; Air Defense - Air Force: Dark blue crown, peace blue brim; Navy: White crown, charcoal purple brim.

Jacket: Long-sleeved, V-neck; four concealed pockets on the front with buttoned flaps; a split seam at the back; shoulder straps for rank insignia; logo attached to the top of the left sleeve; cuff trim on both sleeves (general's rank: pine branch; colonel and lieutenant's rank: wheat ear).

Trousers: Long dress trousers with two slanted pockets and a full-length fly with a zipper. Army and Border Guard trousers are dark olive; Air Force trousers are dark blue; Navy trousers are white.

Undershirt: Loose-fitting, long-sleeved, stand-collar shirt, white. Tie: Pre-tied; Army and Border Guard: dark olive; Air Force: dark blue; Navy: charcoal gray.

Belt: Leather core; for generals, rear admirals, vice admirals, and admirals of the Navy, the belt is double-layered with leather; for officers and lieutenants, the belt is smooth on one side; brown for the Army and Border Guard, black for the Air Defense - Air Force and Navy. The buckle is made of gold-colored metal with an embossed five-pointed star inscribed within a circle.

Leather shoes: For generals, rear admirals, vice admirals, and admirals in the Navy, the style is smooth-toed with fixed laces; for officers, the style has horizontal stripes on the toe and fixed laces; for junior officers, the style has horizontal stripes on the toe and laces. Army, Border Guard, and Air Force personnel wear black shoes; Navy personnel wear white shoes.

Socks: Tubular knit; Army and Border Patrol dark olive, Air Force dark blue, Navy white.

Regarding the ceremonial uniforms of male officers, professional soldiers, officer cadets, and officer trainees of the Vietnam Coast Guard, Decree No. 22/2024/ND-CP stipulates that the peaked cap has an oval-shaped crown; the pins of generals are embossed with the national emblem, while those of colonels and lieutenants are embossed with a five-pointed star; in the middle of the front brim of the cap is a visor for attaching military insignia; a cord is attached to the front of the visor, and below the visor are two ears of rice. The crown of the cap is dark blue, and the sides are light blue.

Long-sleeved jacket with V-shaped lapels; four concealed pockets on the front with buttoned flaps; a split seam at the back; shoulder straps for rank insignia; the Vietnam Coast Guard logo above the left sleeve; cuff trim below both sleeves (general's rank features a pine branch; colonel and lieutenant's rank features a rice stalk).

Trousers: Dark navy blue, with two slanted pockets, full-length fly with zipper. Shirt worn underneath: Loose-fitting, long-sleeved, stand-collar, white. Tie: Pre-tied; dark navy blue.

Belt: Leather core, black; for generals, the belt is double-layered with leather; for officers and lieutenants, it is single-sided smooth leather. The buckle is made of gold-colored metal with an embossed five-pointed star inscribed within a circle.

Leather shoes: Generals wear smooth-toe shoes with fixed laces; officers wear shoes with horizontal stripes on the toe and fixed laces; junior officers wear shoes with horizontal stripes on the toe and laces; black color. Socks: Tubular knit style, dark purple color.
