Manchester United continue their winning streak.

VTC NewsVTC News04/02/2024

Manchester United are confident and have their best squad available as they enter the final stages of the 2023/24 season. Their next opponent is West Ham, a team known for their challenging style of play.

Man Utd vs West Ham Prediction

Manchester United's 4-3 victory over Wolves left fans with mixed feelings. Supporters were delighted that the "Red Devils" had their first four-match unbeaten run of the season (three wins and one draw in all competitions), and that their attack had shown signs of improvement, scoring in four consecutive games.

However, defensively, the Old Trafford side continues to disappoint, conceding eight goals in their last four home games. The last time MU kept a clean sheet at the "Devil's Den" was back in October last year.

At Old Trafford, Manchester United haven't lost to West Ham since 2007. However, given the home side's poor form, West Ham could very well aim for three points. David Moyes's team could also replicate an impressive statistic: winning three consecutive matches against Manchester United, for the first time in 17 years. Previously, West Ham have met Manchester United twice at the Olympic Stadium in London and won both matches without conceding a goal.

MU are confident after their unbeaten run.

MU are confident after their unbeaten run.

West Ham arrive at Old Trafford in good form, having lost only one of their last 11 matches (six wins, four draws), including a six-match unbeaten run. Away from home, the London side also boasts impressive form, scoring at least two goals in four of their last five away games.

In the first leg, West Ham secured a convincing victory against MU with goals from Jarrod Bowen and Mohamed Kudus. This could very well be repeated at Old Trafford tonight, as MU's defense still lacks the necessary cohesion. MU spent 50 million euros to sign Andre Onana.

The goalkeeper has failed to live up to manager Ten Hag's expectations with a dismal performance, conceding 50 goals in all competitions, the second-worst tally in the top five European leagues, behind only Sheffield (59 goals).

Nevertheless, MU still has one statistic to be optimistic about: they haven't lost a game in February since 2018 (14 wins, 9 draws).
