In Hue City, speaking with a reporter from Giao Thong Newspaper, a leader of the Department of Transport said that the high-speed railway line will have 23 passenger stations, based on the principle of being consistent with the current situation and development plan of the locality.
The route is located in the economic and political centers of localities, providing access to urban centers and planned areas with the potential to create new development spaces, effectively utilize land resources, ensure good connectivity with the public transportation system, and efficiently utilize infrastructure and vehicles.
To seize this opportunity, the People's Committee of Hue City has planned to locate Hue railway station in Phu My commune, Phu Vang district, in approved planning projects.
Notably, according to the Hue City Department of Transport, the station's location in Phu My commune, Phu Vang district, is primarily agricultural land and cemetery land, making it very favorable for planning land allocation for TOD (Transit-Oriented Development), with a planned and existing transportation system ensuring connectivity with the center of Hue City and its satellite centers.
Furthermore, according to planning schemes, the project is near the station of the Ring Road 3 connecting Phong Dien town to Huong Thuy town, Phu Vang district; the urban railway system plan connects Phu My station, Phu Vang district with the centers of Hue City, Thuan An, Phong Dien and Phu Bai International Airport...
"Investing in such a high-speed railway will give Hue the opportunity to renovate its urban areas, create jobs, and create new spaces for development," emphasized the leader of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Department of Transport.
