The book is divided into 11 major themes: Heroic spirit; Cultural heritage; Natural heritage; Literature and art; Sportsmanship; Medical achievements; Educational foundations; Architecture and road construction; Science and technology; The essence of Vietnamese cuisine; and Brotherly love.

Beginning with the founding of the nation, "100 Things to Be Proud of Vietnam" introduces readers to the glorious battles of our ancestors from ancient times, such as the Battle of Bach Dang, the Battle on the Nhu Nguyet River, the great victory over the Ming army, the Tay Son's decisive defeat of the Qing army… to modern-day uprisings such as the Southern Uprising, the August Revolution of 1945, the Spring Offensive and Uprising of 1975…
That pride also stems from UNESCO's recognition and honoring of many of Vietnam's cultural and artistic values, and Vietnamese cuisine, which has reached the world and conquered many diners. Of course, there are many more reasons than 100 for each Vietnamese person to be proud of their country, but the publication "100 Things to Be Proud of in Vietnam" has, to some extent, outlined the typical characteristics, showing a continuous flow of generations of Vietnamese people in the process of nation-building, national defense, the struggle for national independence, and the development of the country in the new era.
