Ritsu Doan made his mark on his debut for Frankfurt. He opened the scoring for his team in first-half stoppage time, after winning the ball from his opponent and finishing well past the goalkeeper.

Doan scored twice in the 54th minute, dribbling and shooting with his left foot to bring home Frankfurt's third goal. Jean-Matteo Bahoya, Elye Wahi and Paxten Aaronson were the other three scorers for Frankfurt, helping the team to a 5-0 victory.

Doan is a notable transfer for Frankfurt after the team sold Hugo Ekitike to Liverpool this summer. According to Bild , Frankfurt agreed to pay 21 million euros to Freiburg for the Japanese international.

Doan instantly became the third most expensive player in Japanese football history. The 27-year-old also made his mark as the first Japanese player in history to represent three different Bundesliga teams.

In Germany's top league, Doan played 131 matches, scoring 27 goals in 4 seasons. The striker born in 1998 is quite versatile. He plays in many positions on the right wing and can move into the middle when needed.

Japanese striker Daizen Maeda impressed at Celtic with a defensive sprint in the 86th minute as Celtic led St Johnstone 6-0 in the sixth round of the Scottish Premiership.
