TPO – By this morning, November 2nd, the floodwaters in Quang Ninh and Le Thuy districts of Quang Binh province had mostly receded, but left behind a huge amount of mud and debris, with roads, houses, offices, schools, etc., completely covered in mud.
Quang Binh province has mobilized thousands of military and police officers to participate in clearing mud. Priority is being given to clearing flood-affected areas such as schools and government offices.
One innovative method for clearing mud involves using plastic pipes, filling them with water, and then dragging them across the floor to push the mud out. Those involved in the flood cleanup say this method is much faster and less labor-intensive.
The Quang Binh Provincial Youth Union also mobilized tens of thousands of its members and young people to participate in rescue, relief, and cleanup efforts during the recent floods.
Thanks to the combined efforts of many forces, several schools in the two districts of Quang Ninh and Le Thuy are ready to welcome students back to school.
With the massive amount of mud and debris still remaining, the Quang Binh Provincial Youth Union launched the campaign "Quang Binh Youth Join Hands to Overcome the Consequences of Typhoon No. 6," which was enthusiastically supported by a large number of union members and young people.
