The production of goods to serve the people and tourists is bustling.
These days, the atmosphere of Tet (Vietnamese Lunar New Year) and the spirit of spring are everywhere, from cities to rural areas, mountainous regions, border areas, and islands. Throughout the province, the celebratory spirit of the successful 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the welcoming of the new year is spreading. Businesses and enterprises are mobilizing their workforce to ensure sufficient goods to serve the people and tourists during the traditional Tet holiday.

As is customary, Quang Ninh province organizes the OCOP Fair during major holidays. To ensure a sufficient supply of goods for promotion at the Fair, as well as to meet the consumer demand of the people and tourists, businesses in the province are focusing their year-end production on a high-intensity schedule.
Binh Lieu vermicelli has long been an almost indispensable item in every family's Tet (Lunar New Year) meal. This product has received OCOP 5-star certification and is one of the 27 typical agricultural products of Quang Ninh province. Binh Lieu vermicelli has become a product known to consumers nationwide for its high quality. These days, Binh Lieu Trading and Service Joint Stock Company (Binh Lieu commune) has mobilized its workforce to work three shifts to ensure the timely delivery of goods for the Tet holiday. From now until Tet, the company expects to supply approximately 100 tons of finished vermicelli to the market.
Besides vermicelli made from cassava starch, many businesses in Binh Lieu commune are also actively producing many local specialties these days, such as honey, incense sticks, herbal essential oils, etc. In addition to established brands, some cooperatives are also proactively producing new designs, participating in trade fairs, and boosting promotion on e-commerce platforms and digital marketplaces to increase revenue and reach a wider customer base.

With increasingly improved quality, Quang Ninh's OCOP products have been well-received by consumers both within and outside the province in recent years. These days, localities in the province are also accelerating production of goods to meet the needs of the people during Tet (Lunar New Year), such as: Golden flower tea (Ba Che), golden flower sticky rice (Dong Trieu), sea worm fish sauce, Van Yen oranges (Van Don special economic zone), squid (Co To special economic zone)... The meticulous preparation of businesses and cooperatives has contributed to promoting sustainable rural economic development, meeting the supply of goods and stabilizing market prices during Tet.
With its favorable agricultural land and suitable soil, a bustling and enthusiastic atmosphere of labor permeates Quang Ha commune these days. In particular, Quang Minh 4 village is the concentrated peach blossom growing area of the commune. Currently, villagers are busy cleaning the village roads and alleys to prepare for the Spring Peach Blossom and Ornamental Plant Festival 2026, which will take place on January 31st and February 1st. To prepare for the Tet flower season, more than 30 households in the village have planted nearly 15,000 peach blossom trees. Mr. Tran Van Thuat, from Quang Minh 4 village, said: "The weather is favorable, so we expect the peach blossoms to bloom right on time for the Lunar New Year. The flowers and buds are developing well; many gardens have already been rented or reserved by buyers."
In recent times, besides ornamental peach trees, Quang Ha commune has also focused on and implemented many policies and projects to support capital and technology, encouraging farmers to utilize less productive rice-growing land to cultivate high-economic-value ornamental plants such as black pine, Podocarpus, and some short-term flowering plants. According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Thien, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ha commune, the commune has identified peach tree cultivation as one of the economic models with good development prospects in the future, and it is well-received by the market. Therefore, the commune encourages people to support each other with experience and knowledge and expand the area for growing peach trees and ornamental plants…
Besides production and business activities, these days, localities in the province are accelerating the construction of urban beautification projects and upgrading existing residential infrastructure in accordance with the province's policy. In addition to local resources, the implementation of this policy requires the consensus and cooperation of the people in each residential area, from donating land and labor to relocating fences and demolishing structures on their land to serve urban beautification and residential area upgrading projects.

Many projects have been completed and put into use, creating a new look for each residential area and bringing joy and excitement to the people; many projects are also rushing to complete the final stages to be put into use before the Lunar New Year of the Horse. Mr. Le Van Thap, Chairman of the People's Committee of Lien Hoa Ward, said: Lien Hoa Ward is currently implementing 18 urban upgrading and residential infrastructure projects with a total investment of approximately 57 billion VND. The ward's Party Committee and government have focused on leadership and direction, while strengthening inspection, supervision, and urging construction units to ensure the progress and quality of the projects, striving to complete all projects before the first quarter of 2026.
Make thorough preparations for the Lunar New Year celebrations.
Throughout the province, all levels, sectors, and localities are currently focusing on preparations for the Lunar New Year (Year of the Horse) 2026. These preparations include organizing visits and gift-giving to policy beneficiaries, poor households, and those in difficult circumstances. Simultaneously, many meaningful activities are being implemented, such as: building and repairing houses; organizing programs like "Tet on the Border - Spring on the Border," "Journey for the Homeland's Seas and Islands," and "Tet Reunion - Spring of Gratitude to the Party"...

In particular, to create recreational spaces for residents and tourists during the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, Quang Ninh province has developed a plan to organize a series of unique cultural, sports, and tourism events, deeply rooted in the traditional culture of the nation. A highlight is the Flower and Light Technology Boulevard along Ha Long Bay, stretching from Ha Long Flower Park (Hong Gai ward) to the Provincial Planning, Fair and Exhibition Center (Ha Long ward). This area includes spaces for displaying and exhibiting flowers, flower boats, flower floats, and mascot models; and light technology projections. The exhibition showcases models and products from corporations, companies, and businesses. Locals and tourists can also enjoy the cultural atmosphere of the traditional Tet (Lunar New Year) celebrations of the ethnic groups in Quang Ninh province and participate in cultural, artistic, sports, and entertainment activities during this Tet holiday.

In addition, there are art performances and mobile propaganda activities serving the people throughout the province, especially in remote, border, and island areas, taking place in several localities. Communes, wards, and special zones also organize cultural and artistic programs, sports activities, and folk games to serve the entertainment needs of residents and tourists, focusing on traditional ethnic sports and folk games such as tug-of-war, stick pushing, throwing the ball, spinning top, wrestling, blindfolded goat catching, etc. This creates a joyful and exciting atmosphere for the people at the beginning of the new year, while also contributing to the preservation and safeguarding of the unique cultural features of the regions of Quang Ninh province.

Tourism businesses are also developing tourism stimulus packages and preparing scenarios for welcoming tourists during Tet (Lunar New Year) in a thoughtful and safe manner. Ms. Bui Thi Thuy, from Cao Xanh ward, said: "Working far from home, my family is always eager to celebrate Tet in our hometown every year. I clearly feel that Quang Ninh's economy has achieved many successes. The province also always pays attention to the spiritual life of its people, from meticulously organizing Tet celebrations for poor households, policy beneficiary families, disadvantaged households, and vulnerable groups, to organizing cultural, artistic, and sports activities, preserving the cultural identity of different regions in the province. Returning to my hometown of Quang Ninh, I always feel fulfilled and happy."
The Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 is fast approaching, and the spring atmosphere is spreading throughout the province. As the old year draws to a close, the people of Quang Ninh are excitedly entering the new year with hopes that Quang Ninh will continue to make breakthroughs in development, and that the lives of its people will become increasingly prosperous and happy.
