The statement said: "In the near future, this complex will assume combat duty. Belarusian air defense gunners have completed the entire training course on using the system in combat at Russian training facilities."
The ministry added that Belarusian servicemen are ready to apply their knowledge and skills in practice to ensure the military security of the Union State.
The supply of air defense systems is being carried out within the framework of military and military-technical cooperation between Belarus and Russia.
Currently, Minsk continues to implement measures to build up the combat potential of the regional army group, including equipping the formations and units of the Belarusian armed forces with new, modern weapons.
Commander of the Belarusian Air Defense and Air Force Andrei Lukyanovich emphasized: "The S-400 air defense missile system is a crucial element in ensuring the security of our country and the peaceful work of our people."
Moscow and Minsk have signed an agreement to deploy Russian tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus. On May 28, Belarusian Security Council Secretary Alexander Volfovich stated that the West had left Minsk with no choice but to deploy tactical nuclear weapons.
