Located near the end of Chi Lang Street (Hue City), where a few households still make lanterns, the area is bustling with orders. The lanterns, made of plastic and fabric, are skillfully decorated with images of Buddha, lotus flowers, and other motifs, creating a dazzling and attractive sight for passersby. Depending on the type of lantern (star, lotus, or fruit shape) and the material, prices vary, ranging from a few tens of thousands to 100,000 VND per piece.

"Lately, demand has been low, so production has also decreased. Depending on orders from temples and some Buddhist families, we make enough to meet delivery deadlines," shared a producer of Buddha's Birthday lanterns on Chi Lang Street.

On Su Lieu Quan Street, opposite Tu Dam Pagoda, many types of lanterns and decorative flags for Buddha's Birthday are sold. According to observations, in recent days, the shops there have been bustling with customers choosing and buying. "As a habit, every year I buy a pair to hang in front of my house to create a Buddha's Birthday atmosphere and beautify the space of my home," said Mr. Nguyen Thien (Hue City), after choosing a pair of yellow fabric lanterns.

Meanwhile, at many ancient temples, preparations for the Buddha's Birthday celebration are being meticulously carried out. Buddha statues are erected in front of the main hall, solemnly decorated, and the entrances from the gate to the front of the temple are adorned with flags and lanterns, creating a luminous effect at night.
