To draw users' attention to the new product, Samsung released two promotional videos on Instagram, showcasing the differences between the new product and the iPhone to highlight the lightweight design of the Galaxy S25 Edge.

The first video opens with both phones suspended in mid-air by 61 balloons. As the number of balloons decreases, the iPhone 16 Pro begins to fall, while the Galaxy S25 Edge remains suspended. This highlights the weight difference, with the Galaxy S25 Edge weighing 163 grams, lighter than the iPhone 16 Pro's 199 grams.
In the second video, the two phones are placed on a conveyor belt. As they pass through barriers with decreasing spacing, the iPhone gets stuck in an 8 mm gap, while the Galaxy S25 Edge easily passes through with a thickness of only 5.8 mm. This once again confirms the design superiority of Samsung's new product.

Limitations Samsung couldn't overcome with the Galaxy S25 Edge.
It's also worth noting that, to achieve this impressive thinness, Samsung had to sacrifice some features. The Galaxy S25 Edge is equipped with a 3,900 mAh battery, smaller than the standard Galaxy S25 version. The main camera only has two sensors and no telephoto camera, while wired charging power is reduced to 25W, lower than the 45W of the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Clearly, the race for ultra-thin phones will become even more exciting with Apple's expected launch of the iPhone 17 Air in the second half of this year, with a predicted thickness of between 5.5 mm and 5.65 mm, thinner than even the Galaxy S25 Edge. However, details about this product are still limited, leaving consumers eagerly awaiting its release.
