At the closing ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong, Head of the Festival Steering Committee, affirmed: "The 2024 International Dance Festival is truly a colorful artistic celebration, where artists from 9 countries come together to interact, exchange and honor the unique values of dance art."
The Organizing Committee awarded Silver Medals to 10 performances from domestic and international art groups.
Mr. Dong emphasized that the dance performances brought a wealth of emotions to the audience, from expressive dance dramas to traditional, folk, and contemporary dances. Each performance was a story, a unique cultural slice, contributing to a vibrant and distinctive cultural exchange space.
This year's festival witnessed meticulous investment from international art troupes. Performances such as "Jagad Jiwa" by the Indonesian troupe, vibrant acts from Malaysia and Laos, and the sophisticated blend of Vietnamese folk music and Indian ethnic dance all made a strong impression on the audience. These works not only showcased the talent and creativity of the artists but also demonstrated the diversity and richness of international dance art.
The performance of "Carp Gazing at the Moon" (from the ballet "Dong Ho") by the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Theatre won the Gold Medal.
People's Artist Nguyen Cong Nhac, Chairman of the Art Council, commented: "The dance works at this festival have authentically and profoundly reflected the diverse life of society and people through the cultural lens of each country."
He particularly appreciated the creativity and innovation in performances such as "Cloud Maiden" by the Vietnam Dance Academy and "Painting of Human Love" by the Military University of Culture and Arts. These works not only demonstrated a seamless blend of traditional and modern art but also evoked profound emotions in the audience.
At the conclusion of the Festival, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism decided to award 5 Gold Medals to the best performances, including "Human Love Painting" and "Harvest" by the Lao art troupe, "Contemporary dance 'Jagad Jiwa'" by Indonesia, and "Cloud Maiden" and "Carp Gazing at the Moon" by the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Theatre.

The 2024 International Dance Festival has concluded, but the strong impressions of a top-tier art festival will remain in the hearts of the audience. This was not only an opportunity for artists to showcase their talents but also a chance for the Vietnamese and international dance industries to continue developing, exchanging, and spreading cultural and artistic values everywhere.
