In his opening remarks at the seminar, People's Artist Nguyen Hoang Tuan, Chairman of the Hanoi Theatre Association, emphasized that 70 years since the Liberation of Hanoi, it can be said that there has been no major event in Hanoi and the country where the capital's theatre art has not been present. Especially during the years of resistance, Hanoi's theatre, along with other art forms, directly participated in the nation's struggle.
Many plays emerged from the flames of war, were hastily staged, and reached soldiers and people throughout the country. Heroic figures, soldiers, farmers, workers, and intellectuals became the central characters of these plays, along with the talented performances of artists in various forms of drama, traditional opera, and reformed opera, contributing to the encouragement of the fight.

To enable the Hanoi theater scene to fulfill its mission, develop to its full potential, and contribute to the capital's cultural industry, People's Artist Le Tien Tho stated that, in addition to the creativity of artists, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the city of Hanoi, and professional associations need to create conditions to organize activities supporting creative work, organize domestic and international art festivals, nurture the next generation, invest in technology and training in the use of advanced technology in theatrical performances, and organize seminars to evaluate the artistic quality of theatrical works…
