On May 30, in Hanoi , Hanoi Radio and Television introduced the program "Television Stage".
Accordingly, implementing the direction and orientation of the Hanoi Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, Hanoi Radio and Television Station coordinated with Central and City art units to deploy the program "Television Stage" with outstanding stage works in the genres of drama, tuong, cheo, cai luong... broadcast monthly on the station's platforms.
Choosing the play “I and Us” by playwright Luu Quang Vu to open the “Television Stage” program in 2025, journalist Nguyen Kim Khiem, Director of Hanoi Radio and Television Station, said that nearly four decades ago, in the atmosphere of the country entering a period of renovation, Vietnamese literature and art witnessed a strong “unleashing”. Theatrical works born during that period were not only rich in artistic value but also touched on core issues of society, carrying a spirit of criticism, arousing the desire for change of an entire era. Luu Quang Vu’s plays are the most typical voice for that spirit, expressing the desire to live, dialogue and change in Vietnamese society.
“We hope that through the program “Television Stage”, the vitality of the stage will not only exist on the stage but also spread widely through television, social networks and digital platforms to reach a diverse audience today,” emphasized journalist Nguyen Kim Khiem.
“Me and Us” was born in 1984, in the context of the country beginning to foster the spirit of innovation. The work is a pioneering voice full of courage with a spirit of criticism and struggle against the conservatism and stagnation left by the subsidy mechanism. The play raises questions about the initiative of each individual in a collective system, weighing the choice between “safety - compliance” or “commitment - change”...
More than 40 years later, that question remains relevant as the country enters a new era, where innovation, transparent governance and the role of proactive citizens become pillars for the country’s sustainable development. “I and We” is the awakening voice, the hyphen between yesterday’s desire for innovation and today’s construction.
The new version of "Me and Us" 2025, performed by Hanoi Drama Theater, not only faithfully recreates the brave and dedicated spirit of Luu Quang Vu, but also brings a fresh perspective, imbued with the 4.0 era.

The 2025 version of “Me and Us” will be performed at 7:30 p.m. on June 1 at Workers Theater (42 Trang Tien, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi), recorded and broadcast live on channel H2 and platforms of Hanoi Radio and Television.
