Political Department of Naval Division 42 and leaders of Phan Ngoc Hien commune visited the Vam Lung Victory Memorial.
The program focused on propaganda and dissemination of laws to fishermen, with special emphasis on regulations related to the prevention and combat of IUU fishing. The propaganda team of Squadron 42 introduced the basic contents of the Vietnam Coast Guard Law and regulations on combating IUU violations, especially clarifying prohibited acts such as: illegal fishing in foreign waters, not installing or intentionally disabling voyage monitoring equipment, illegally transporting people across the border... In addition, fishermen were given specific instructions on recording fishing logs, performing notification procedures, and confirming the origin of aquatic products at fishing ports according to regulations. Through this activity, fishermen were raised awareness, understood their rights and responsibilities, and joined hands to remove the "yellow card" for the Vietnamese fisheries industry.

Comrade Nguyen Truc Ly, Secretary of the Party Committee of Phan Ngoc Hien Commune, and Lieutenant Colonel Trinh Minh Hien, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of Navy Division 42, presented gifts to fishing households in difficult circumstances.
Also on this occasion, Squadron 42 presented 80 gifts (each worth 1 million VND) to fishing households in difficult circumstances; presented 300 national flags, 30 medical bags, 90 life jackets, and 60 raincoats to fishing boat owners anchored at Rach Goc fishing port. At the same time, the unit also presented the locality with 100 legal books, 20 trash cans, and coordinated with the Youth Union of Phan Ngoc Hien commune to plant 2,000 mangrove trees and mangrove trees to prevent coastal erosion and clean up more than 2 km of beach, collecting more than 2 tons of various types of waste.
