Comrade Phan Thanh Duy, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department, presented gifts to Hon Chuoi Border Guard Post, Hon Chuoi Radar Station, Hon Chuoi Naval Base, Radar Station 615, and Lighthouse Station.

Hon Chuoi Island, located in Hamlet 1, Song Doc Commune, is approximately 18 nautical miles from the mainland. It covers an area of ​​70 hectares and boasts a rugged, rocky terrain, reaching a height of 165 meters. The island houses the Hon Chuoi Border Guard Post, Radar Station 615, a lighthouse, and a team constructing a pier. The unit manages a 28.5 km long border and a 1,548 km² sea area. The island has 39 households/147 inhabitants, primarily engaged in cage fish farming and small-scale trading. The island lacks electricity and fresh water, and houses are makeshift; during the dry season, there is a shortage of water for daily use, making life difficult for officers, soldiers, and residents.

Lieutenant Colonel Doan Cong Nghiep, Commander of Hon Chuoi Border Guard Station, reported on the results of task implementation in 2025 to the working group.

Reporting at the meeting, Lieutenant Colonel Doan Cong Nghiep, Commander of Hon Chuoi Border Guard Station, stated that in 2025, the unit thoroughly implemented resolutions and directives from higher authorities; and deployed comprehensive measures to manage and protect maritime sovereignty and islands. Coordination among forces was strengthened, maintaining a high level of combat readiness to prevent any unexpected situations. Party building and unit development were prioritized; officers and soldiers were united and confident in their work. The unit was awarded the title of "Advanced Unit".
