Roads where flowers bloom from the hearts of the people.

Through practical, local approaches, Tan An commune has concretized the learning and following of President Ho Chi Minh's teachings through many effective models in building new rural areas . Particularly noteworthy are the "Flower Road" and "Bright, Green, Clean, and Beautiful Road" models in Tan Tao hamlet.

"A bright, clean, and beautiful rural road" in Tan Tao hamlet.

From the first road, approximately 7 km long, built through the joint efforts of officials, Party members, and the people, the model has now been expanded to 20 roads with a total length of over 42 km. These once "monotonous" rural roads are now covered in greenery, planted with flowers, and neatly landscaped, contributing to a more attractive appearance for the coastal countryside.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Tham, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Tan An commune, to maintain the effectiveness of the model, the Union has coordinated with the Border Guard Station , the Farmers' Association, the Veterans' Association, the Youth Union, and other local organizations to mobilize people to participate. Plants such as ixora, hibiscus, and string of pearls are selected to suit the local soil conditions; and they are regularly cared for, pruned, and replanted to keep the roads always green, clean, and beautiful.

The people of Tan An commune join hands to take care of the rural flower-lined roads.

What creates the sustainable value of this model is not only the transformation of the rural landscape, but also the spirit of solidarity and community responsibility fostered at the grassroots level. Each flower-lined road becomes a testament to learning from President Ho Chi Minh through simple actions such as preserving the living environment, building a cultural life, and nurturing neighborly bonds.

Like Ms. Huynh Thi Luom in Tan Tao hamlet, she not only pioneered the propagation, planting, and care of the green hedge in front of her house, but also voluntarily extended the flower-lined path to adjacent areas to create a uniform landscape for the entire road. For many women members here, caring for the flower-lined road is not only a responsibility but also a source of pride as their hometown flourishes day by day.
