There are only two weeks left until New Year's Day. Although there's only one day off, the first day of the new year is always a significant milestone for everyone. Understanding the needs of tourists, tourism areas, attractions, and businesses are actively preparing to welcome and serve visitors during this period.
A "Ma River Up and Down" tour, with a half-day or full-day itinerary, is one of the top choices for tourists during the 2025 New Year's holiday. This river tour will take visitors to explore historical sites and scenic spots along both banks of the Ma River, listen to Ma River folk songs, and enjoy local cuisine . With this tour, visitors can choose from several experiential programs such as: Hoang Long pier - Sung Nghiem Pagoda - Yen Vuc Temple (or Vang Palace) - Co Bo Temple; Hoang Long pier - Female Student Monument - Truc Lam Zen Monastery - Co Bo Temple. In addition, the "Melody of Ma River Folk Songs" at night is a newly introduced cultural experience that tourists shouldn't miss. Throughout this journey, visitors will listen to melodies such as departure songs, upstream and downstream boat songs, stranded boat songs, and arrival songs, performed by local artisans.
To prepare for welcoming tourists on this occasion, the Song Ma Tourism Development Center has finalized its welcoming plan. Simultaneously, all tourist boats are being urgently cleaned, all equipment is being inspected, interior spaces are being decorated, and staff are being deployed... all with the aim of providing the best possible service to guests on the first day of the new year 2025.
Ms. Tran Thi Thuy, from the Marketing Department of the Song Ma Tourism Development Center, said: “On the first day of the new year 2025, the Song Ma Tourism Development Center will give a 10% discount on the total bill for tour groups, and also give flowers and gifts to customers with birthdays in the first quarter of 2025. Currently, some customers have booked services for the New Year's Day holiday, but the number is still limited. However, to proactively welcome guests, along with our team of 20 staff members, we have developed a plan to mobilize additional personnel if the number of guests during this period reaches 100% capacity on all three boats.”
Also on this occasion, the FLC Samson Beach & Golf Resort (Sam Son City) will host a year-end gala and New Year's Eve countdown on the night of December 31, 2024 and January 1, 2025. The advantage of this destination is its comprehensive and modern resort system, with over 1,000 rooms, along with many health and wellness facilities and check-in options. With just one day off, many tourists have chosen this resort complex to welcome the first moments of the new year with family and friends.
Ms. Do Thi Thuy, from the Sales & Marketing Department of FLC Sam Son, said: “Currently, the occupancy rate for accommodation during the 2025 New Year holiday at FLC Sam Son is approximately 12%. The majority of bookings during this period are from within the province and some neighboring provinces. We have basically completed all the necessary preparations to organize New Year's celebrations and launch attractive promotional programs. This year, tickets to the New Year's Countdown party and fireworks display are only 100,000 VND/person; the New Year's buffet is only 550,000 VND/person. In addition, FLC Sam Son will also organize lively music programs and a lucky draw with prizes for the New Year.”
During the 2025 New Year's holiday, it is expected that the majority of tourists visiting Thanh Hoa will be individual travelers or those traveling independently. However, preparations at tourist destinations throughout the province show a vibrant and enthusiastic atmosphere as they prepare to welcome visitors on the first day of the new year. Along with businesses, several tourist areas and attractions in the province, such as the Lam Kinh Historical Site (Tho Xuan), the Ho Dynasty Citadel Heritage Site (Vinh Loc), Cam Luong Fish Stream (Cam Thuy), and the Pu Luong Community Ecotourism Area (Ba Thuoc), are urgently preparing to welcome visitors. Some destinations and resorts in the province have already completed landscaping and set up check-in spaces to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere for tourists during the first holiday of 2025.
