Having dedicated a corner of her house to her creativity, indulging in her passion for knitting and crocheting, after busy work hours and household chores, Ms. Thuy diligently creates elaborate and beautiful handmade products from yarn. Having been familiar with crochet stitches since childhood, she doesn't need any patterns for her products. With just the right yarn colors, a crochet hook, scissors, etc., she can create her own unique piece or any flower, plant, stuffed animal, or object that customers desire. Through her skillful hands, yarn, nylon threads, and some recycled materials have been transformed into useful and eye-catching items such as handbags, phone cases, flowers, baby bibs, keychains, hair clips, and animal figurines.
“Initially, I only made simple scarves, hats, and sweaters. Since having my baby, I started making stuffed animals out of yarn with the aim of creating durable and beautiful toys for my child. The more I made, the more I loved the colorful yarn, so I took advantage of my free time to research and learn how to make more challenging products through YouTube and Facebook to improve my skills. Knitting and crocheting techniques aren't too difficult; with diligent practice, anyone can do it. However, it requires patience, meticulousness, and a refined sense of aesthetics in color coordination and patterns. When knitting, you need to be skillful and consistent in measuring dimensions, crocheting yarn, embroidering patterns, and assembling the parts... only then will the finished product be durable, aesthetically pleasing, and create a unique style and personality for the customer,” Ms. Thuy shared.
