Sharing with VietNamNet , Ms. NT ( Hanoi ) said: A few days ago, when she went to the ward People's Committee to receive the results of her child's application, she noticed a problem with candidates who passed the entrance exam for grade 10 of specialized high schools in Hanoi... That is, the children had to make a resume and have it confirmed and stamped by the locality where they reside. However, by the end of the afternoon of June 30, the wards had collected the stamps.
"On the afternoon of June 30, the officers and specialists in the ward basically only returned the documents, no one confirmed because the ward was doing the handover procedures,... Meanwhile, the deadline for submitting documents to high schools is coming up. Hopefully, when the new system is operational, the ward will have time to confirm the procedures or the schools will create flexible conditions to avoid missing out on the children's enrollment," said Ms. NT.
This is also the concern of some parents whose children passed the 10th grade entrance exam to specialized schools in Hanoi when they need to request confirmation and stamps in the early days of operating a two-level local government.

Speaking with VietNamNet, Dr. Le Cong Loi, Principal of the High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences (under the University of Natural Sciences - VNU) said that in fact, the school's admission schedule this year is July 5, so there is still time from now until that date.
However, according to Mr. Loi, in the context that the whole country is in the early days of transitioning to a two-tier government model, schools will make adjustments to create conditions and support parents and students.
According to Mr. Loi, the High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences has adjusted the announcement to postpone the admission date to July 10, instead of the original schedule of July 5.
In addition, to ensure maximum convenience for candidates and their families, a resume with a photo, stamp, and certification from the local government or the head of the agency where the father (or mother) works can be submitted after official study.
Dr. Vu Van Tien, Principal of the High School for Gifted Students of the National University of Education (under the Hanoi National University of Education), said that according to the plan, the school will organize admission on July 5. However, the school recruits students nationwide, not by region, so it does not require documents related to confirmation of residence. Therefore, the merger or transfer to a 2-level local government will not affect the admission process of candidates.
“The admission procedure at the Specialized Pedagogical High School is very simple. Parents and students only need to prepare the following documents: Junior High School transcript; birth certificate; temporary graduation certificate; student enrollment account information; student photo. The school does not require any additional documents, so it is not affected by the merger of wards and provinces... so parents and students can be completely assured,” said Mr. Tien.
