The 274 billion VND bridge project connecting Da Nang is about to open for technical traffic.

The Quang Da Bridge project is expected to be completed before March 8th, with asphalt paving and technical traffic opening before March 29th, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang .

According to the Da Nang Investment and Construction Project Management Board for Transportation and Agriculture Projects (the investor), the project has completed 64% of the contract value, with the bridge section being 75% complete. The road, drainage, irrigation ditch, and access road sections are approximately 35% complete.

The Quang Da Bridge project is about to open for technical traffic.

The project involves 156 land clearance cases in Da Nang. Currently, 5 out of 156 cases have not yet signed the land handover agreement, with 2 cases remaining within the main road section.

The Quang Nam side (with the Dien Ban Town People's Committee responsible for land clearance) has handed over the land for 11 cases.

In addition, there are 5 cases of agricultural land requiring clearance for the construction of connecting ramps to restore local roads under bridges, but the land has not yet been handed over.

According to the investor, the bridge will be completed before March 8th, and the road and bridge surfaces will be paved with asphalt, ensuring technical traffic flow before March 29th, in order to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang.

According to the investor's report, the project still faces obstacles due to a difference of approximately 5 meters between the road surface elevation and the natural ground level. In order to complete the 50-meter access road on the Quang Nam side, the northern ring road project of Quang Nam province must soon begin foundation construction in the section bordering the two projects.

At the same time, to facilitate the opening of the Quang Da bridge connecting the two localities, the northern ring road of Quang Nam province needs to accelerate construction progress, prioritizing the implementation of the section from the end point of the Quang Da bridge project to the intersection with the DH12 road in Dien Ban town (approximately 1.2km long) before March 29th.

On February 7th, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vinh, Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, inspected the progress of the Quang Da bridge project connecting Da Nang City and Quang Nam province. He also discussed with leaders of the Dien Ban town People's Committee (Quang Nam province) the obstacles related to the bridge's progress.

Both sides agreed to complete the project on schedule and open it for technical traffic before March 29th, as this is a very significant project for both localities.

The Quang Da Bridge project, spanning the Yen River and connecting Da Nang City and Quang Nam Province, commenced in December 2023 with a construction period of 510 days. The total investment for the project is nearly 275 billion VND.

The Quang Da Bridge has a total length of 1.4km and a scale of 4 lanes. Its starting point intersects with National Highway 14B in Hoa Khuong commune (Hoa Vang district, Da Nang) and its end point connects with the northern ring road project of Quang Nam province (in Dien Tien commune, Dien Ban town).
