In 2024, the national digital transformation mission and Project 06 achieved many outstanding and impressive results. Vietnam rose to 71st place out of 193 countries in the United Nations e-government rankings, up 15 places compared to 2023. This is the first time Vietnam has been ranked in the group of countries with a "very high" e-government development index.

The institution has resolved many long-standing bottlenecks and created new space and development momentum for the economy . Digital infrastructure has been expanded and developed. The rate of households with fiber optic internet reached 82.4%, exceeding the target of 80% by 2025. Digital data and digital platforms continue to be built and developed.

The rate of online records nationwide will reach 45%, an increase of 28% compared to 2023. In particular, the proportion of digital economy will reach 18.3%, the growth rate will exceed 20%/year, 3 times higher than the GDP growth rate, the fastest in Southeast Asia; retail e-commerce will reach 25 billion USD in revenue, among the top 10 countries with the fastest e-commerce growth rate in the world .

Vietnam has become one of the few countries with a high number of domestic digital platform users. To date, 21/21 ministries, branches and 63/63 localities have deployed the solution of converting to using VNeID as the only account in performing administrative procedures and providing online public services. The number of activated VNeID accounts is over 55.25 million, exceeding the target of 40 million user accounts in Project 06. In terms of network information security, Vietnam increased 8 ranks, from 25th to 17th out of 194 countries.

According to the assessment of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, in 2024, Project No. 06 will continue to bring many values ​​and benefits to people and businesses and enhance the management and operation efficiency of State administrative agencies.

The results of Project 06 are an important foundation for the whole country to effectively implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.

For Tay Ninh, according to the 2023 digital transformation ranking report, Tay Ninh scored 0.6817 points, ranked 33/63 provinces and cities, up 7 places compared to 2022. In 2024, Tay Ninh completed 7/7 digital government targets, 2/3 digital economy targets, 1/4 digital society targets and 1/2 network safety and security targets.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh gave a speech directing specific tasks on digital transformation, Project 06.

Regarding the 2025 task, the Politburo identified “development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation as the top important breakthrough, the main driving force to rapidly develop modern productive forces, perfect production relations, innovate national governance methods, develop the socio-economy, prevent the risk of falling behind, and bring the country to breakthrough development and prosperity in the new era”.

To concretize the above guiding viewpoint, the national digital transformation task and Project 06 must accelerate and make a breakthrough in 2025. The leader of the Ministry of Information and Communications said that the national digital transformation theme in 2025 is "Comprehensive digital transformation to develop the digital economy, creating new momentum for economic growth". The National Digital Transformation Committee sets specific goals to strive for, focusing on directing comprehensive digital transformation in all sectors and fields, contributing to achieving the economic growth target of 8% -10%; in which the digital economy/GDP ratio strives to reach 20.5%.

Regarding Project 06, the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security determined that by 2025, the status must be transformed, creating a premise for building a National Data Center to serve the digital revolution in the nature of data, exploiting and promoting the potential of data, so that data can truly become an important resource and means of production.

Concluding the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh agreed with the proposal to integrate three agencies on national digital transformation, administrative procedure reform and Project 06 into a Government Steering Committee on science, technology, innovation and digital transformation headed by the Prime Minister, which needs to be completed before February 15.

People use online public services to submit administrative procedures online.

The Prime Minister requested that ministers, heads of sectors, and chairmen of provincial and municipal People's Committees have high determination, set an example, and be pioneers in awareness, innovation in thinking, and action in implementing the tasks of digital transformation and Project 06.

By June 2025, leaders of ministries, branches and localities must direct and operate in the online environment and use digital signatures; by September 2025, all cadres, civil servants and public employees at the commune, district and provincial levels must handle work in the online environment and use digital signatures.

The Prime Minister proposed to continue reviewing, perfecting institutions, policy mechanisms and ensuring resources for digital transformation; soon completing the National Data Center; ensuring network safety and security; developing human resources to serve the national digital transformation; improving the efficiency of online public services; and at the same time assigning specific tasks to each ministry, branch and locality.
