The 52nd Vietnam Record Holders' Gathering in Ho Chi Minh City commemorated the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Central Association of Record Holders with the theme "Joining forces with the Vietnamese record holder community to promote trade and sales globally" - "Enough sunshine - Flowers will bloom, Enough vision - Opportunities will be seen". The event was attended by leaders from the WorldKings Alliance of Records; the World Record Association - WRA, national record organizations, leaders of the Vietnam Central Association of Record Holders - Vietnam Record Organization, 15 associations and organizations, and the record holder community nationwide.
At the event, six new World Records were awarded. In addition, Asian Records recognized by the Asian Records Organization for the years 2022-2023 were also presented. Among the 12 Asian Records awarded, collector Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam was recognized for the record of the woman owning the largest collection on the theme "Lotus in Vietnamese Cultural Life," featuring the most artworks, artifacts, and memorabilia inspired by the lotus image in Asia.
The collection of collector Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam is impressive, featuring 433 lotus-themed items, including 258 lotus paintings, oil paintings, lacquer paintings, gemstones, and ceramics; 106 vases, utensils, and decorative items with lotus themes; and 69 lotus calligraphy pieces and couplets. Over the past 20 years, collector Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam has organized numerous exhibitions to promote the beauty of the lotus flower. Just before receiving the Asian Record, the "Lotus Calligraphy" art space, showcasing 40 calligraphy works combined with lotus paintings by collector Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam, was also promoted to the public at an exhibition at the Hanoi Museum commemorating the 133rd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth. These works are also part of the "Lotus in Vietnamese Cultural Life" collection that collector Thanh Tam has diligently built over the years.
