The suspect Nguyen Duc Toan (center) has 5 previous convictions for theft.

According to the investigation records, at approximately 7:00 AM on September 20th, Nguyen Duc Toan rode his motorbike from Hue City to Nam Dong District to commit theft. Upon arriving at a resident's house in Thuong Nhat commune, he broke in and stole a Vivo mobile phone that was plugged in and charging outside. Afterward, he went to another resident's house in the same commune and stole an iPhone 11 Pro Max before quickly escaping.

Immediately after receiving a report from the public, the Nam Dong District Police quickly investigated, identified, and successfully arrested Nguyen Duc Toan. During questioning, the suspect confessed to committing three more thefts in the city during August and September 2024. It is known that Nguyen Duc Toan has five previous convictions for theft.
