Exciting summer volunteer activities

With the spirit of "Wherever youth are needed, youth will be there; whatever is difficult, youth will overcome it," the 2025 Summer Volunteer Campaign was implemented with many vibrant, practical, and far-reaching activities. Many practical projects and tasks were effectively implemented, contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality and creating a ripple effect in the community.

The 23rd An Giang Province Summer Volunteer Campaign in 2025 will take place from May to August 2025, with the (expected) participation of 30,000 youth union members and young people. During the campaign, youth union members, students, and university students will carry out many activities aimed at disadvantaged youth, vulnerable people, and those in difficult circumstances. Target groups also include families of policy beneficiaries, war invalids, sick soldiers, former youth volunteers, people participating in national target programs; and students taking the entrance exam for grade 10 and graduating from high school.

The 2025 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, implemented by the Provincial Youth Union, includes specific programs such as: "Supporting the Exam Season," "Green Summer," "Red Phoenix Flower," "Pink Holiday," and "Green March." This is an opportunity for young people to contribute their youthful energy, intellect, and enthusiasm, and a chance for each young person to self-improve. According to Phan Duy Bang, Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Youth Union, this year's Summer Volunteer Campaign sets several targets for Youth Union members to achieve. Specifically, it aims to organize 50,000 Youth Union members to participate in volunteer activities implemented by the Youth Union and Associations; and to support the demolition of at least 15 temporary or dilapidated houses for war veterans and people in difficult circumstances under national target programs.

The An Giang Provincial Youth Union also set targets such as: planting 50,000 new trees; repairing 20km and building 5km of new rural roads; ensuring each commune and ward has at least one "Digital Literacy Team"; supporting the enhancement of digital skills, cashless transactions, and administrative reform for at least 10,000 young people and citizens. In addition, they will provide entrepreneurship training for at least 3,000 young people; support 4 innovative youth startup projects; provide career and job counseling for 10,000 youth union members and students; and introduce job opportunities to 1,000 young people.

In particular, leading up to the Party Congress at all levels, the Youth Union will carry out at least 100 youth projects and activities to celebrate the congress. Priority will be given to practical projects that are meaningful and closely linked to the socio -economic development of the locality. Simultaneously, at least 150 outstanding Youth Union members who are volunteer soldiers will be recommended to the Party for consideration for membership… The provincial-level youth project will be the construction of two rural traffic bridges worth 1 billion VND.

Giving gifts to underprivileged children.

According to Phan Duy Bang, Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Youth Union, volunteer activities create an environment for young people to train, contribute, and grow. Based on this, it contributes to forming a generation of young people who live beautifully, possess strong character, intelligence, good health, and practical social skills, contributing to the cause of national construction and defense. From now until the end of August 2025, the Summer Volunteer Campaign will continue with many meaningful and vibrant activities, organized widely, effectively, safely, and sustainably by young people, linked to political tasks and the practical needs of each locality and unit. This is an opportunity to unleash the energy of youth, awaken the spirit of dedication, initiative, volunteerism, and enhance the responsibility of An Giang youth in building an increasingly prosperous, beautiful, and civilized homeland.

The 2025 Summer Volunteer Campaign aims to promote the pioneering and volunteer spirit of Youth Union members and association members, carrying out projects and tasks to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association; and to welcome Party congresses at all levels, leading up to the 14th National Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
