This is one of the activities to celebrate the Buddha's Birthday in 2025 (Buddhist calendar 2569).
The vegetarian food fair attracted thousands of Buddhists and visitors from across the province.
With approximately 75 vegetarian food stalls, each decorated and displaying free vegetarian dishes such as fruits, traditional cakes, and vegetarian dishes like vermicelli soup with crab, stir-fried noodles, and vermicelli with pork skin, the event attracted thousands of Buddhists and visitors from across the province. Each stall was decorated with fresh flowers and had a sign introducing the dishes to attract visitors and make it easy for them to choose according to their needs.
The exhibition space at the fair displays Buddha statues so that visitors can perform the ritual of bathing the Buddha.
Nun Dieu Minh, from Van Phuoc Pagoda and a member of the Organizing Committee of the Vegetarian Food Fair, said: “Here, visitors can freely choose their favorite vegetarian dishes, traditional cakes, and drinks, completely free of charge. The organizing committee has distributed 16,000 vouchers to Buddhists and visitors from all over. This year, pagodas in the province, along with monks, nuns, Buddhists, organizations, and charitable individuals, have joined hands to create a free food space. Although it's free, the organizing committee has prepared very carefully, from the food and food safety to the decoration of each stall. This year, the Provincial Buddhist Association is organizing a larger-scale event than in previous years to provide opportunities for Buddhists and visitors to enjoy vegetarian dishes.”
The food stalls offer a variety of dishes, from cakes to fruits.
Each stall attracted a large crowd of visitors.
The vegetarian dishes are presented attractively.
Buddhists and visitors were satisfied with the dishes they chose.
